2019 Top Channel Chiefs: Kinda Baydoun

Kinda Baydoun moved from an SMB sales role to a channel role for the first time towards the end of 2014. Her role has been expanding since then, from handling a bigger region to managing the entire ecosystem of channel and alliances.

Years in the company: 9               Years in the channel: 5

Baydoun is responsible for the management of a very healthy channel ecosystem based on transparency and trust, constantly identifying synergies with strategic alliances. These have translated into multi-dimensional and successful customer-engagements, introduction of the Middle East Partners Advisory Board, introduction and successful implementation of the Deal Registration program, and most recently the launch of the Engage & Grow Initiative for Platinum and Gold partners.

Business so far

In the Middle East, HPE is heavily investing in the region, and this is being reflected in two major initiatives that we have recently announced: the move to a new office and the launch of the Digital Life Garage in the UAE.

Globally, HPE is investing both organically by launching new products and through acquisitions. The company also announced major partnerships to drive more sales opportunities and expand the market for GreenLake (HPE consumption-driven model), the most recent are the ones with Nutanix and Google cloud.

Future plans

HPE will continue to be a channel-centric company, drive innovation and help our partners compete and win. We support our partners through HPE Partner Ready program and many other initiatives. We will continue to our portfolio while enabling more partners to accurately sell GreenLake. It is a big opportunity for our partners to expand margins because they are layering on their services and the sophistication of the service they are offering to the customer is increasing in value.

Technologies to watch out for

Digital transformation, the emergence of edge-to-cloud architectures, and the explosion of data are driving new and autonomous use cases in industries like transportation, energy, and medicine. Leaders in this new world will be ones who can harness the power of data by leveraging AI/ML as a strategic weapon. At HPE, we are working to simplify customers’ and partners’ adoption of AI/ML by delivering a portfolio of products and services that unlock data to transform businesses. Today, HPE can offer a complete portfolio of products to drive artificial intelligence and analytics applications to our customers, helping them manage their data assets end to end, from edge to cloud.
