Announcing participation at GITEX Technology Week 2012, Sophos is set to focus on its ‘complete security without complexity’ strategy. This includes endpoint security, Web, email, mobile, encryption and network security, the company said.

As BYOD enables an increasing volume of mobile working, the issue of wireless security has become pivotal for Middle East companies. In an attempt to address these developments Sophos will present mobile security and mobile device management solutions, as well as its new unified threat management solution, UTM 9 (designed to integrate gateway security and endpoint security in a single virtual box).

“IT security is becoming more and more complex, with new challenges like BYOD, cloud storage, a growing number of security products to manage and new apps to monitor, evermore devious malware and skilled hackers,” said, André Scheffknecht, vice president NEEMEA for Sophos.

“Unfortunately, IT teams and IT security budgets are not growing at the same rate. With a lot of data and information flowing across networks to more sophisticated attacks and tightening budgets, protection needs to be broad, affordable, simple and quick for IT to implement. Our complete security solutions address the needs of today’s IT manager and we’re looking forward to bringing them to the attendees of GITEX Technology Week.

Sophos will be located at Hall 1 E1 – 40
