GITEX 2021: Nutanix set to dazzle the region with its simple, secure and flexible solutions

Sr Sales Director Aaron White on what to expect at Nutanix stand and how it will showcase the recent exciting partnerships with RedHat and HPE

The Delaware-based Nutanix, a hybrid multicloud computing company which was recently named as a Visionary in Gartner October 2021 Magic Quadrant for Distributed Files and Objects Storage for the first time, will be back at the GITEX Technology Week this year.

Exhibiting under the theme ‘Cloud on Your Terms’, Nutanix will be at their specially designed stand (H6-C30), that is a safe and an open space for conversations. In addition to meeting rooms, there will be a live studio featured as well.

Speaking to ITP.net, Aaron White, Sr Sales Director, METI, said: “The technology spotlight will be on Nutanix’s simple, flexible, and cost-efficient platform – one that offers freedom of choice and enables true hybrid and multicloud computing.

“Nutanix will showcase three main solution categories – cloud (private or hybrid), end-user computing and databases. These technologies are designed to work holistically together to build a resilient IT infrastructure for organisations. They have security in their DNA, simplicity at their core, and flexibility to ensure the customer always has the power of choice.”

Another key element of Nutanix’s participation is to show some of the key partnerships it has formed.

“We will be announcing some key developments with our company’s alliance partners during GITEX,” added White.

“Company executives are keen to discuss the recent exciting partnership with RedHat, the world’s leading provider of open source solutions. The collaboration between the two vendors enables customers to build, scale and manage containerised and virtualised cloud-native applications more easily.

“The expanded partnership with HPE, in response to the increased demand for hybrid cloud, will be another area of focus. The two companies now offer Nutanix Era (a database management solution) bundled with HPE ProLiant servers, as a service through HPE GreenLake.

“Part of the discussions will be around new solutions that will soon be launched in the next few months. The company will be introducing strengthened ransomware protection features. Nutanix Clusters, a true hybrid cloud solution, has been released on AWS and is set to have world-wide availability on Azure very soon.”

Asked what Nutanix is offering to the regional organisations to embrace a bold digital future, White said: “Nutanix’s mission is clear – make cloud complexity invisible, so businesses can focus on what matters.

“Our company strives to delight customers with a simple, flexible, and cost-efficient cloud platform, one that offers freedom of choice and enables true hybrid and multicloud computing. No matter where an enterprise is in its datacentre evolution, the Nutanix Cloud Platform is an excellent choice for modernising the infrastructure, running business-critical applications, or building a private cloud that can extend to hybrid when the organisation is ready.

“Choice should be the first word in an ideal hybrid multicloud solution. With Nutanix, customers are able to choose their ideal hardware, hypervisor, and cloud(s), and license portability means businesses’ investments come with zero strings attached. Instead, they can leverage cloud credits and utilise licenses across any hardware and cloud platform of their choice.”

White said this year’s GITEX promises to be different, not only because it is the first big physical event after all the pandemic-related issues.

“This year’s event is even more exciting for us. Not only are we back in-person, but GITEX will be held just three weeks after Expo 2020 opens its doors to the world. With the Expo being a much-anticipated global event for Dubai, we are expecting a high percentage of new trade visitors at GITEX this year – which is exciting!” explained White.

“The pandemic has certainly created very challenging conditions for businesses to operate in. The overall market sentiment has not been very positive. And so, having an in-person event like GITEX, bringing together the entire IT community under one roof with face-to-face interactions is certainly refreshing and no doubt will provide an impetus to business in the region.

“Our expectations from the show always remain the same. Connect with our customers, collaborate with our key alliances and partners, and showcase Nutanix’s latest technology innovations. We have seen considerable ROI in the past, but more importantly, we really appreciate the value it brings to our brand in terms of exposure.”
