GITEX 2021: “We wish to help organisations become more flexible in how they work,” says Poly’s Bob Aoun

Bob Aoun, Regional Sales Director, on how Poly is ready to help the world with its high quality audio, video and conferencing equipment

As hybrid working becomes a norm across the world as it tries to come out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Poly, a global communications company that combines audio expertise and powerful video and conferencing capabilities, is in a perfect position to embrace what has now become the ‘new normal’ for most officegoers.

Poly believes in solutions that make life easier when they work together and with their partners’ services. It is an industry leader offering headsets, video and audio conferencing, desk phones, analytics software and services.

Over the last year, there has been a surge in digital communications with most teams and organisations practising remote working. From empowering the digital economy to focusing on the future with a special spotlight on AI and Fintech Surge, it’s safe to say that the pandemic has revolutionised and accelerated the growth and presence of technology in everyone’s life.

As remote and hybrid work models are fueling investments in video conferencing and security solutions, Poly is at GITEX Technology Week and Bob Aoun, Regional Sales Director, spoke to ITP.net on their participation.

“This year’s event will highlight how our research-driven solutions are assisting many businesses in dealing with new difficulties and challenges, particularly during the ongoing global health crisis,” said Aoun.

“We also want to strengthen our relationships with our customers and partners by sharing our latest developments. According to our observations, investments in UC solutions are being fueled by remote and hybrid work styles. We wish to help all organisations, large and small, by providing them with tools that allow businesses to become more flexible in how they work.

“Poly has always been an industry pioneer, therefore we continually strive to deliver the finest solutions for both professional and personal usage. We have reimagined professional headsets, video and audio-conferencing devices, desk phones, software, and services, and have built tools that link people with great clarity. And we want to showcase all these at GITEX.”

Poly has various products that are made for hybrid work and will be on display at the GITEX.

“It is our observation that remote and hybrid work models are fueling investments in video conferencing and security solutions,” added Aoun.

“We want to support all organisations by giving the tools that allow companies to become flexible in the way they work and create much better integration and collaboration. We want to keep the momentum going and increase more footfall towards Poly within the region. Our goal is to ensure total equality between those in the room and those who aren’t.

“This is why, our Poly Studio P series personal camera devices, the highly-anticipated Voyager Focus 2 headset and both Poly Studio E70 and Poly Studio X70, our latest video conference solutions for larger rooms, will be on display for those looking to equip their meeting rooms to experience first-hand.”

Aoun said that tech shows such as GITEX are important despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“GITEX is important despite the pandemic because it sets the tone for all future communications during such unprecedented and unpredictable times,” Aoun added.

“We have high hopes that with the GITEX event, being hosted alongside Expo 2020 Dubai, will have an even bigger gathering of the tech community, all coming together to transform digital economy. With the special focus on AI, blockchain, and Fintech Surge this year, it will be something special.”

Poly is in Hall 7 – Stand E20 this week.
