Meet the panellists: The rise of sustainable enterprises with IBM & SAP

He acts as key advisor to several of IBM programs, defining the next generation of its clients’ Business Transformation through architecting capabilities in the shift from transactional excellence in the use of S/4HANA to Intelligent Enterprise outcomes, leveraging the value of Cloud, SAP BTP and IBM exponential technologies, and also in the new emerging shift to Sustainability adoption in SAP.

  • Carlos Díaz, chief sustainability officer, SVP SAP EMEA South

Carlos is responsible for helping customers adopt sustainability practices for compliance, efficiency, and innovation.

As chief sustainability officer, Carlos leads a team investigating the latest sustainability trends, enabling companies to leverage the “sustainability advantage” or tackle new customers and markets with refreshed, low emissions practices.

This lively discussion will be followed by a compelling fireside panel with two leaders shaping the future of sustainable technology Claudio Muruzabal, president of SAP EMEA South, and Catherine McCourt, senior partner, EMEA finance and supply chain transformation leader.

Muruzabal, who has 25 years of experience heading large technology organistions, leads EMEA South region comprises of Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As a technology industry leader and visionary in the area of innovation, Muruzabal leads a team of around 5,000 employees across 75 countries tasked with helping businesses of all sizes become intelligent enterprises. This goal is achieved leveraging SAP’s end-to-end suite of applications and innovative services that enable customers to operate profitably, adapt continuously, and make a difference.

Meanwhile, McCourt lives IBM’s purpose and is passionate about finding ways to use emerging and established technology more effectively, helping organisations understand the importance of greater agility in a digital world. She works with organisations to design and build supply chains of the future that empower the human experience, strategically champion stewardship, and create change that is impactful, equitable, responsible, and profitable.

The webinar will be drawn to an informative close with a keynote presentation from Mihir R Gor, UKI CTO for SAP Services with IBM Global Business Services.

With over 24 years of IBM and SAP delivery experience, Mihir is a trusted advisor for many clients who are on their SAP transformation journey which includes Hybrid Cloud and AI. In 2021, he is leading IBM’s campaigns in its SAP Sustainability offerings.
