Qatar’s nationwide digital transformation under the Qatar National Vision 2030 has been lauded by Sitecore, a leader in digital experience management software, during the company’s first Qatar Experience Day.

Re-imagining customer interactions

Over the course of the past year, brands of all sizes and industry verticals in Qatar have completely re-imagined how they interact with citizens and customers, spurred on by Qatar’s nationwide digital transformation agenda. According to a poll by YouGov, 88% of Qatar’s IT decision-makers believe that their brands have changed customer experiences to create deeper connections in light of the physical disconnects caused by the restrictions associated with the pandemic.

“Qatar is one of the world’s fastest-growing and most digitally-advanced economies, with customers expecting real-time brand engagement,” said Mohammed Alkhotani, Area Vice President – Middle East and Africa, Sitecore, “Qatar’s brands are leading digital marketing innovation, with 88% of brands changing customer experiences and creating deeper customer connections during the pandemic.”

Cloud-based innovation

As digital transformation through the cloud continues to accelerate among Qatar’s public and private sector institutions, many organisations are now running their business applications in the cloud.

“The strong success of Sitecore’s Qatar Experience Day reflects how knowledge sharing among public and private sector organisations can drive cloud-based digital marketing innovation,” said Gonçalo Mateus, Regional Vice President, Sitecore. “Big Data and AI are enabling Qatar’s brands to build out customer profiles; to personalize experiences across websites, email, apps, and social media while maintaining customer data privacy and data security; and to support long-term customer journeys.”
