Egyptian proptech releases property sales app that cuts out the middleman

The start-up, founded in Egypt is looking to attract users first in the North African country, then the Gulf region before exporting their product to the European market

Egyptian proptech Liza has released a new mobile application that allows for broker-free property trading.

Buyers and sellers on the app now have access to the full range of services. Later this year, the proptech will launch the rental feature on the app as well, Liza founder Ahmed Alaa told Daily News Egypt.

He said: “With the start of our pre-seed round, we have been approached by several venture capital firms in the UAE and KSA and are currently undergoing discussions for potential funding and expansion possibilities.”

The start-up, founded in Egypt is looking to attract users first in the North African country, then the Gulf region before exporting their product to the European market. They are targeting 1,500 users within two months of launch.

Cutting out the middlemen in property sales, Liza’s model allows the developer to maximise direct sales.

“It allows the public to browse through numerous listings that meet everyone’s real estate needs, whether it’s buying, selling or renting. All in one click, as a seller you just need to register on our platform by choosing the plan with the appropriate duration for the registration, and you only pay a minor subscription fee,” Alaa told one US-based outlet.
