HPE expands GreenLake features to accelerate hybrid cloud experiences

HPE GreenLake’s new features deepen security, extend developer tools, and strengthen capabilities to run workloads at scale

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has unveiled enhancements and additions to its cloud services for GreenLake, the firm’s flagship product.

The enhancements include a reimagined modern private cloud that provides a cloud-native experience to power an organisation’s hybrid strategy, regardless of location.

The company also introduced eight new HPE GreenLake cloud services, giving customers more choice, control, and predictability for their enterprise cloud delivery.

“Three years ago, at HPE Discover, HPE committed to delivering our entire portfolio as a service by 2022,” said Antonio Neri, president and CEO, HPE.

“Today, I am proud to say that not only have we delivered on that commitment, we have become a new company. HPE GreenLake has emerged as the go-to destination for hybrid cloud, and our industry-leading catalog of cloud services enables organisations to drive data-first modernisation for all their workloads, across edge to cloud. The innovations unveiled today further build on our vision to provide the market with an unmatched platform to spur innovation and drive transformation.”

HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform provides customers and partners with a unified experience, control and visibility, and fast and easy access to over 70 cloud services. Today, HPE GreenLake has 65,000 customers and over one exabyte of data under management with customers worldwide. These organisations benefit from one control plane from which to automate, orchestrate, and run their hybrid cloud strategy.

At HPE Discover 2022, HPE unveiled additional features to the HPE GreenLake platform, including an analytic-ready data fabric for hybrid environments, SaaS-based interface for virtual machines, and enhanced security and disaster recovery. Additionally, it now offers block storage as-a-service that allows general-purpose service tiers where customers can leverage a cost-optimised storage service for general-purpose workloads.
