Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship signed an MOU ( Memorandum of Understanding) with  Stallion AI Company to spread and develop the culture of artificial intelligence and implement AI initiatives in the country.

Stallion AI provides AI services, solutions and products to help organizations across different industries to implement AI. The company has facilities in Canada and the UAE that work to customize real-life AI applications for positive future impact and to drive future innovation.

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Hanandeh stressed the importance of spreading AI culture among the youth, primarily university students, to keep pace with global developments and to acquire the necessary knowledge and experience to be entrepreneurs in this field.

CEO of Stallion AI Company Samer Obeidat stated, “The agreement will localise AI in Jordan put the Kingdom on the regional and international map among the top countries that have adopted AI projects and initiatives.”

Several local AI initiatives are scheduled to be launched in cooperation with Jordanian universities to increase awareness among their students and help them gain necessary skills and knowledge for future jobs.

The potential economic impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the MENA region’s economic growth is significant, with the region estimated to accrue $320 billion by 2030 from value added by AI, according to a report launched by Google.
