Trellix showcases XDR capabilities at GITEX

Vibin Shaju, General Manager – UAE, Trellix shares the company’s plans on participating GITEX for the first time.

Vibin Shaju, VP EMEA Solutions Engineering at Trellix

Participating at GITEX for the first time, Trellix will be following the theme, “Living Security”, which will showcase the importance of having an XDR platform that is always Learning & Adapting while being Native & Open. “We will leverage GITEX as an opportunity to showcase Trellix XDR. This security ecosystem goes beyond basic XDR capabilities and focuses on proactively predicting and prioritising threats instead of just reacting after an attack. This means that an organisations’ SOC spends less time on error-prone fire drills with weeks of investigation, and can respond faster to protect the organisation,” said Vibin Shaju, General Manager – UAE, Trellix

The company’s aim is to reinforce its commitment to customers and partners in the region and demonstrate how the Trellix XDR platform delivers living security to help organisations stay one step ahead of adversaries, adapt to new threats, and accelerate detection and correction. “While new technologies help drive an accelerated pace of digitalisation, cybersecurity needs to keep pace and we need to complement prevention mechanisms with intelligence-driven detection mechanisms for complex attacks. With a well-documented shortage of cybersecurity talent, consolidation of technologies into fewer platform vendors and more usage of AI-driven tools in SOC, for classifying events without human intervention, is going to be key, “ added Shaju.

Mr Shaju says that he has seen a pivot from a focus on technologies to architecture approach in cybersecurity. For example, SSE aims to secure connectivity while XDR aims to consolidate security technology and enable better SOC detection and response.

“This provides us a tremendous opportunity at Trellix and in the year ahead, we’ll continue to offer new solutions powered by AI, machine learning, and telemetry data from our one billion–plus customer sensor network, to help customers in the region adapt and stay one step ahead of today’s most sophisticated attacks.”
