Here are four must-visit government pavilions at GITEX Global 2022.

Abu Dhabi government pavilion at GITEX

Although governments have always evolved with citizens’ demands and preferences, no shift has ever been as radical as the recent government digital revolution. This ongoing digital transformation uses contemporary technology to enhance performance and is essential to fulfilling the expectations of modern citizens.

Every year, at GITEX, a lot of participants rush to witness the innovative ideas launched in the government pavilions as it directly influences and affects them. These pavilions have not disappointed so far and we see more ideas this year. Here are four must-visit government pavilions at GITEX Global 2022.

ABU DHABI

The Abu Dhabi Government will showcase more than 100 initiatives and innovative digital projects in its pavilion that aim to create a unique experience for visitors by introducing a unified platform that features all government entities. More than 30 government and academic entities will be participating under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion during this global tech event.

The participation focuses on five key pillars:

  • Government services: providing smooth and seamless experience designed
  • Government solutions: promoting cooperation and supporting joint initiatives across various governmental entities and institutions
  • Data & artificial intelligence: taking advantage of the safe and effective sharing of data
  • Cybersecurity: providing world-class cyber-security and intelligence
  • Digital enablement: driving socio-economic growth by accelerating integration with digital systems, applications, stakeholders, customers, and business partners

BAHRAIN

A number of strategic partners from Bahrain’s startup ecosystem will join the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) in the Bahrain Pavilion. Thirty Bahraini SMEs and startups in the information technology and communications (ICT) industry are attending under the sponsorship of Tamkeen, which is supporting the Bahrain Pavilion. The Bahrain Technology Companies Society is working with other organisations to arrange Bahrain’s participation (BTECH).

The Bahraini delegation will comprise representatives from Tamkeen, the Information and eGovernment Authority, the Bahrain Economic Development Board, the Bahrain Development Bank, and Hope Fund.

DUBAI

The Dubai Government Pavilion will highlight the emirate’s role in influencing future trends and the digital transformation of cities this year. GITEX is expected to serve as a crucial forum for ongoing dialogue and interaction between executives in the technology sector interested in learning about Dubai’s experience and exchanging ideas and experiences in this area.

The entities participating in the Pavilion at the exhibition include, in addition to Digital Dubai and its four constituent entities and 32 government entities. Also supporting Digital Dubai this year are 7 private sector companies including: Emirates Auction, Visa, Dell, Cloudera, HUAWEI, Network International, and Snowflake In.

OMAN

For the first time, Oman will have a country pavilion at GITEX Global, including some of the leading ICT businesses in the Sultanate. eMushrif, a provider of IoT and AI services, is one of the companies taking part at the Oman Pavilion.

eMushrif alter people’s lives by bringing comfort, security, and ride quality to school buses in order to offer dependable and secure transportation to and from school. Oman Data Park, another Omani ICT company, will also be part of the Oman Pavilion. The sultanate’s IT managed services company, Oman Data Park was founded in 2012 and provides managed IT, hosting, cloud services, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and virtual data centre services using its own locally hosted, TIA 942 accredited datacentres.
