Airspeeder and Saltwater Games partners to develop mixed-reality Play2Impact racing game

Play2Impact is a new category in game design that prioritises the importance of immersive play. Under the license agreement with Airspeeder, AirspeederXR will be accessible via Celeros, a mixed-reality racing metaverse built by SWG.

Saltwater Games (SWG), a global Web3 Game and mixed-reality studio announced its exclusive multi-year partnership with Airspeeder, the world’s first motorsport series for electric flying cars to deliver immersive gaming experiences through Play2Impact, where physical and virtual worlds merge for competition, rewards, education, and impact.

This mixed-reality racing game is

  • First mixed-reality, AAA, Web3, free-to-play, play-to-earn and Play2Impact racing game
  • Will be accessible via Celeros, a mixed-reality racing metaverse built by SWG
  • Celeros is now invitation-only, with a beta coming in mid-2023

Play2Impact is a new category in game design that prioritises the importance of immersive play. Combined with SWG integrated economic design model, gamers contribute directly to real-world social and environmental impact projects voted by the SWG community as they progress levelling up through the game, adding value and earning rewards.

Under the license agreement with Airspeeder, AirspeederXR will be accessible via Celeros, a mixed-reality racing metaverse built by SWG. AirspeederXR is the first mixed-reality, AAA, Web3, free-to-play, play-to-earn and Play2Impact racing game. AirSpeederXR delivers a multiplayer, mixed-reality flight racing game augmented by real-world physics taken from thousands of Airspeeder flight hours. Celeros is now invitation-only, with a beta coming in mid-2023.
