Zomato’s food ordering feature in the UAE is set to be discontinued from November 24, 2022. With Zomato ceasing its delivery services, users will be redirected to the Talabat app to place their meal orders.

Zomato is renewing its focus on restaurant discovery and dining out. The app will not shut down; but, its food ordering feature will be discontinued. As such, all banking details will remain safe. The Zomato app currently has three tabs: Delivery, Dining and Pro. From November 24, when users click on ‘Delivery’, they will be advised to download the Talabat app. The other two tabs will function as usual.

Zomato is expanding its restaurant search and dining-out services. Four cities in the UAE—Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman—have already implemented new services including “Vibe Check” and “Zomato Pay.” Partner eateries can more easily market themselves with Vibe Check. To highlight their locations and specialities, restaurants can publish brief videos that are comparable to Instagram Stories. Users can pay using Zomato Pay and take advantage of discounts and other deals.
