Amazon and ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, have been ranked as some of the leading companies in the UAE.
The ranking, which was curated by LinkedIn, is intended to assist professionals in various career stages, including those who are changing career paths, returning to work after a break, or seeking to improve their skills.
The criteria for the LinkedIn ‘Top Companies’ list are based on various pillars. They include factors such as the growth of employees while they are with the company, the skills that employees acquire while working there, and the company’s efforts to enable career progression for its employees. Additionally, the list takes into account how employees fare when they depart from the company.
“Given the global decline in hiring and economic uncertainty that businesses are grappling with, highlighting these employers will help professionals understand which companies have invested in making their workplace an ideal environment for talent to thrive,” the professional networking platform said in a statement.
The list also ranked organisations in other industries including retail and FMCG.
Lynn Chouman, Managing Editor at LinkedIn News MENA. said, “This is a testament to the dynamic nature of the modern workplace and how the top industries are growing alongside market trends. Our data recognises companies that have remained an employer of choice in the midst of global uncertainty, while acting as a valuable resource for professionals seeking the best places to work in the region.”
