McDonald’s opens automated restaurant with no workers

The new McDonald’s automated restaurant is said to be the future of restaurant business.

McDonald’s launched its first automated restaurant in Texas USA with no customer-facing employees. The restaurant is controlled by robots and automation and is said to be the future of the restaurant business.

Using cutting-edge technology, the new restaurant, situated just outside of Fort Worth, allows guests to place orders and get their meals without speaking to anyone. While some people are intrigued by the concept, others find it disturbing.

The restaurant is meant for “people on the go” and caters to only pick-up and drive-through. While some orders of the pick-up will be delivered by robots, the drive-through orders will be delivered via a conveyor belt.

In a statement, McDonald’s said that this restaurant “is not fully automated. There is some interaction between customers and the restaurant team when picking up orders via the food and beverage conveyor.”
