ServiceNow teams up with Nvidia to bring generative AI to enterprises

ServiceNow, utilising Nvidia’s software, services, and accelerated infrastructure, is currently developing custom large language models specifically trained for its ServiceNow Platform

ServiceNow and Nvidia have joined forces in a strategic partnership to create advanced generative AI capabilities tailored for enterprise use. The objective is to revolutionise business processes through faster and more intelligent workflow automation.

ServiceNow, utilising Nvidia’s software, services, and accelerated infrastructure, is currently developing custom large language models specifically trained for its ServiceNow Platform, an intelligent platform that drives end-to-end digital transformation.

By incorporating generative AI across various areas of the enterprise, such as IT departments, customer service teams, employees, and developers, ServiceNow aims to enhance its already robust AI functionality. The primary focus is on bolstering workflow automation and significantly increasing productivity.

In turn, ServiceNow is assisting Nvidia in streamlining its IT operations through the integration of generative AI tools. Nvidia leverages ServiceNow’s expertise to customise their Nvidia NeMo foundation models, which operate on hybrid cloud infrastructure consisting of Nvidia DGX Cloud and on-premises Nvidia DGX SuperPOD AI supercomputers.

“IT is the nervous system of every modern enterprise in every industry,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia . “Our collaboration to build super‑specialised generative AI for enterprises will boost the capability and productivity of IT professionals worldwide using the ServiceNow platform.”

CJ Desai, the president and chief operating officer of ServiceNow, highlighted the increasing demand for trusted vendors with proven and secure AI capabilities. “Together, Nvidia and ServiceNow will help drive new levels of automation to fuel productivity and maximise business impact.”

Generative AI: Reshaping digital businesses

The partnership between ServiceNow and Nvidia aims to leverage generative AI to reshape digital business processes. Several use cases are being explored to simplify and enhance productivity across the enterprise by offering high accuracy and added value in IT operations.

One area of focus involves the development of intelligent virtual assistants and agents that can promptly address a wide range of user queries and support requests. These purpose-built AI chatbots utilise large language models and concentrate on specific IT tasks. Enterprises have the flexibility to customise chatbots with proprietary data, creating a centralised generative AI resource that stays focused on the topic while resolving diverse requests.

Generative AI also has practical applications in customer service, allowing for more accurate case prioritisation, time savings, and improved outcomes. Customer service teams can utilise generative AI for automatic issue resolution, generate knowledge base articles based on customer case summaries, and summarize chats for faster hand-offs, resolutions, and wrap-ups.
