Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has rolled out a new initiative to help tech companies and MNCs set up and scale up in the emirat

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has unveiled an exciting new initiative aimed at assisting technology companies in establishing and expanding their presence in Dubai.

The initiative encompasses a comprehensive suite of services meticulously tailored to bolster tech startups, SMEs, and multinational corporations venturing into the bustling digital landscape of Dubai.

The announcement of the initiative was met with great fanfare during a momentous ceremony held at Dubai Chambers’ esteemed headquarters.

The newfound initiative promises seamless access to a comprehensive range of services, acting as a streamlined “one-stop shop” for licensing services, banking solutions, office space, cloud services, and other pivotal requisites indispensable for companies venturing into Dubai’s thriving business landscape.

The chamber is planning to enter into agreements with additional strategic partners ahead of the launch of the platform in September.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said, “The initiation of this visionary endeavor is a testament to the unwavering commitment of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to enhance the ease of conducting business and accessing services. This groundbreaking initiative represents a significant stride toward our goal of attracting 300 digital startups to our thriving emirate by 2024, further cementing Dubai’s unrivaled status as a global powerhouse in the digital economy.”

Undeterred by the enormity of the task at hand, Al Olama added, “We look forward to supporting the success of more innovative companies and further strengthening Dubai’s dynamic investment environment as we continue on our journey towards doubling the contribution of the digital economy to the UAE’s non-oil GDP within 10 years.”

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), lauded the partnership, emphasising the organisation’s resolute commitment to fostering innovation across Dubai’s vibrant business ecosystem.

“At Dubai CommerCity, the first and leading free zone dedicated to digital commerce, we are increasing cooperation and efforts to support the government’s strategy to advance the UAE’s digital economic growth. Throughout the years, we have been constantly developing business packages, services, and incentives to support companies within the digital and tech sectors. This has allowed us to affectively facilitate business operations and attract innovation and talent from all over the world.” he added.

Guided by their forward-thinking strategy spanning 2022 to 2024, the chamber remains laser-focused on elevating the digital business environment, cultivating support for digital enterprises, and magnetising international digital businesses. Their overarching ambition is to solidify Dubai’s standing as one of the world’s most agile and diversified technology-driven digital hubs. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy serves as the instrumental force in fortifying Dubai’s digital leadership, as evidenced by their recent feat of attracting 30 digital startups during the initial quarter of 2023.

The initiative was announced during a ceremony held today at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters in the presence of Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, and Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, with the participation of Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), and Amna Rashed Lootah, Board Member of Dubai Commercity.

During the event, the chamber signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for strategic partnerships with several companies in support of the initiative. Agreements were inked with Dubai CommerCity, Safexpay, e&, and Telr.
