UAE unemployment insurance: Here’s how you can use Botim to subscribe

This positions Botim as the inaugural multi-service provider to incorporate a government-mandated initiative

The deadline for mandatory UAE unemployment insurance is fast approaching. Individuals who do not subscribe by the deadline will face fines of AED 400. BOTIM users can now use the platform to easily access and sign up for the Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE). This strategic move aims to enhance accessibility and convenience for subscribers, ensuring compliance with government regulations.

Abdallah Abu Sheikh, Founder of Astra Tech and CEO of BOTIM, said, “The launch of the crucial ILOE government service within our BOTIM ecosystem is a natural progression aligned with our strategic partnership approach. Remaining true to our mission of simplifying users’ daily lives, this move brings us closer to establishing a comprehensive ecosystem that fosters harmonious synergy among the government, public, and private sectors—perfectly mirroring the UAE’s national agenda.”

BOTIM users can now subscribe to the ILOE insurance by following a simple process:

  1. Open the BOTIM app: Users can access the ILOE subscription service directly through the BOTIM app.
  2. Select ILOE insurance: Navigate to the “Explore” page within the app and select the “ILOE Insurance” option.
  3. Input information: Users are required to provide their Emirates ID details and a valid email address. The app will then automatically categorise them based on their registered employment information.
  4. Make the payment: BOTIM offers multiple integrated payment methods within the app, ensuring a hassle-free payment process.

Abdellatif Abuqurah, CEO of Dubai Insurance, said, “We are happy to have BOTIM joining the Involuntary Loss of Employment Subscription channels being one of the top Fintech Apps in the UAE. This will allow the workforce in UAE have access to a multifunctional app that provides all the needed services that a person would need daily and to be able to subscribe to the mandatory insurance scheme, the Involuntary Loss Of Employment (ILOE) in a seamless user experience.”

In addition to providing easy access to ILOE insurance, BOTIM is also offering a one-month VIP membership to incentivise subscriptions, making it a compelling choice for UAE residents and Emiratis across various sectors, including government, free zones, and private companies.

Qualified employees who enroll in the UAE unemployment insurance program stand to receive a monthly cash benefit equivalent to 60 percent of their average basic salaries over the six months preceding their job loss. This financial assistance will be granted for a maximum duration of three months, contingent upon the individual’s consistent premium payments for at least 12 months prior to claiming the benefit.
