The winners of the ‘edge Technology Leadership Awards’ took centre stage as technology pioneers and innovators were honoured during a gala evening at The Address Dubai Mall.
The awards celebrated visionaries who have not just kept pace with the ever-evolving tech landscape but have also played a role in reshaping the future. The occasion was made even more special by being held against the backdrop of GITEX Global, one of the largest and most eagerly anticipated events in the technology sector. This unique alignment brought together thought leaders, decision-makers, and tech enthusiasts under one roof, creating a vibrant atmosphere to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments that continue to shape our digital world.
This year, 15 distinct categories represented different aspects of the dynamic regional tech landscape in the Middle East. From startups to established enterprises, from cybersecurity to e-commerce, these categories showcased the region’s diverse spectrum of technological achievements. The ceremony also witnessed two special awards, given away including the ICT Innovation Champion and Innovation Catalyst titles.
Jasim Haji, chief ICT officer at du was named the ‘ICT Innovation Champion’ for his visionary leadership, and significant contributions to technology and digital transformation in the UAE.
The ‘Innovation Catalyst’ award was presented to GITEX GLOBAL. The global tech platform has been an instrumental force driving transformation, evolution, and innovation. Over the course of four decades, it has consistently fostered technological progress and entrepreneurship.
