PayPal backed Rasa aims to change the use of gen AI for businesses

Pay-Pal backed company Rasa has raised $30 million in Series C funding to redefine how enterprises use generative AI powered chat and voice platforms.

Rasa, the generative AI (gen AI) company backed by PayPal is looking to redefine how enterprises use generative AI-powered chat and voice platforms. The company has raised $30 million in Series C funding towards the same efforts. The round was led by PayPal Ventures, and StepStone Group.

Melissa Gordon, CEO, Rasa said in a press statement that their technology is well positioned to transform how businesses interact with its customers. The team aims to make every conversation personal and impactful.

The funding will primarily help the team expand their tech leadership and strengthen its market presence. The platform’s extensible and open AI powers the AI assistants which in turn aligns with the customers’ business logic and provides practical user engagement.

Currently Rasa’s solutions help power the top three global banks, travel and hospitality companies, and other global brands and insurers. Hunter Somerville, partner at StepStone Group, stated Rasa has proven that it can safely deploy the latest conversational AI with an elegant low-code platform that offers scale, functionality and data privacy.

Alan Du of PayPal Ventures stated that Rasa offers a great platform for enterprises to develop robust conversational AI. He added that they have seen how its concierge solutions improve business performance and customer engagement.

The Generative AI battle is picking on, Nvidia joined the conversational AI field with the launch of Chat With RTX, OpenAI’s Chair Bret Taylor launched Sierra, and now Rasa. It would be interesting to see how this war will further grow and continue.
