Saudi Arabian telco, stc, has announced that it will launch three new mega data centers in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Madina, as part of a $267 million investment.
The new, cutting edge data centres will host telecommunications equipment and digital cloud infrastructure, offering higher availability, more flexibility and faster time to the customer.

The three new Data Centers have been built with over 150 prefabricated modules, fully equipped with power, thermal management and IT infrastructure. Providing 10.8 MW of critical IT power (white space ready) expandable to 16.8 MW.
Construction for phase 2 of the programme is already underway and will bring the total Critical IT Power to 40.8 MW.
“Yesterday we announced a $500 million investment with Ali Baba Cloud and eWTP, and today we announce investing about SAR 1 Billion [$267 million] in these 3 Data Centers. The successful completion and transformation of stc’s mission critical offering, will enable the next step in digital services to be delivered throughout the Kingdom. This first milestone achievement is only the beginning,” stc’s CEO, Nasser Al-Nasser, said.
Phase one of the programme is now complete, with new data centers in Jeddah and Madinah already online. Today sees stc’s 3rd new data center being commissioned in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
The launch of the three new data centres will fundamentally change the mission critical hosting space within the region, and will improve stc’s ability to support the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
