ITP.net is excited to announce that National Bank of Fujairah’s (NBF) CISO, Hariprasad Chede will be taking part in a high-level panel to share insights into the security aspects that are impacting the rise of digital banking in the region.

In 2011, Chede joined NBF to head up its information security department, where he is responsible for the development and implementation of the bank’s information security programme.

This includes establishing and overseeing the bank’s security architecture, ensuring data privacy, overseeing regulatory compliance and developing and implementing security-related policies to mitigate any operational risks.

As part of ITP.net’s ‘Cashing-in on Digitalisation in Banking’ event, the ‘Doubling down on digital’ roundtable is set to air on 9th February. It will explore the evolution of the regional banking industry and determine where it is heading in the next few years.

With more than 18 years of experience in the financial and information security space, Chede had earned a number of prestigious certifications for information security and assurance from leading organisations like ISACA and (ISC)2. Additionally, he is also associated with the ISACA UAE Chapter since 2006 and had served as the organisation’s President from 2016 to 2017.

Over the years, NBF has invested significantly in developing innovative solutions and digital banking offerings.

In October, the bank partnered with the Ministry of Finance to launch e-Dirham Instant, its latest digital payment method that allows customers to pay for governmental fees and services using online banking.

The company also introduced NBF Connect, a dedicated and banking platform exclusively for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The platform serves as a one-stop shop for members including access to a suite of services and solutions as well as knowledge-sharing capabilities.

ITP.net’s ‘Doubling down on digital’ roundtable will address key questions facing businesses today, including: the transformation in the banking industry, rise of challengers and FinTechs, and what the future of banking and payments will look like.

As part of the ‘Cashing-in on Digitalisation in Banking’ event, ITP.net will also feature a bespoke webinar on ‘Enabling a cashless society’.
