At this year’s Next@Acer global press conference, Acer unveiled its latest products for PC gaming and content creation.

In a live streaming event, Acer announced new laptops and upgrade to cater to a range of professional and casual users.

With enhancements like the latest 11th-gen CPUs from Intel or AMD, the latest Nvidia GeForce and A series GPUs, there’s a lot to talk about Acer’s announcements at this years event. 

This year company has aggressively expanded its portfolio of products that includes desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, servers, displays and smartphones.

This included the launch of new Intel Tiger Lake-powered ultra-slim notebooks in Saudi Arabia, four new Chromebooks for students and business users and the new, military-grade durability convertible laptop. 

This year’s event saw both new products and notable upgrades in Acer’s existing portfolio.

With the laptops announced at Next@Acer press conference, Acer has brought an impressive lineup of laptops for every need and budget to the global market. Here are our top picks.

Swift X
For the stylish innovator

Acer Swift X

The new Acer Swift X (SFX14-41G) notebook represents a new segment within the Swift portfolio, the first of its series to come powered with discrete graphics, all at an impressive 1.39 kg (3.06 lbs). Its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU, based on NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture, combined with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U Mobile Processor and 16 GB of RAM offers creative professionals such as video editors or photographers plenty of power. True to the Swift family, all this hardware has been fitted into a metal chassis just 17.9 mm (0.7 in) thin.

Acer’s Aspire Vero is a step towards reimagining what the computer manufacturing process looks like. Post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic is used throughout the device’s chassis and keyboard caps. The notebook ships in a box made from 80-85% recycled paper pulp, and plastic bagging for adapter protection is reduced by using paper sleeves instead.

Furthermore, the laptop bag and the sheet between the keyboard and screen is made with 100% industrial recycled plastic. All graphics on the shipping box are printed with soy ink, and the notebook contains no paint on the chassis, reducing the impact on the environment.

The latest 11th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics lets it power through daily productivity tasks and more, while up to 1 TB of M.2 SSD storage gives users plenty of space to store music, movies and files. The notebook also comes with Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), a USB Type-C port, two USB 3.2 ports and an HDMI 2.0 port for video-out.

Acer Middle East launched the new ConceptD Series in the UAE, purpose built for creators and professionals, ranging from design students and YouTube enthusiasts to CAD designers, video editors, illustrators and animators.

The SpatialLabs experience is created through the combination of an eye-tracking solution, a stereoscopic 3D display and real-time rendering technologies. The eye-tracking solution consists of a stereo camera set, located on top of the device, and tracks the position and movement of a user’s head and eyes.

The display of the ConceptD SpatialLabs prototype notebook to be provided to participants of the developer program consists of a UHD 2D panel with a liquid crystal lenticular lens optically bonded on top of it, together forming an innovative module that can be switched back and forth between 2D and stereoscopic 3D views.  

Real-time rendering technologies allow creators to interact with 3D models when using applications in the SpatialLabs Experience Center, to review their creations in real-time, enhancing the design workflow, and to present interactive and immersive projects—all in stereoscopic 3D.

Acer has announced the latest addition to its TravelMate P6 series, a line of Windows 10 Pro notebooks engineered for professionals who frequently work on the road. Durable, secure and powerful with a long battery life, these notebooks are built to survive life on the go—and now include a convertible option with a Corning Gorilla Glass touch display that can be rotated 360 degrees for use in presentation, tablet, notebook and tent modes.

The new laptops also sport a dockable Acer Active Stylus that works with Windows Ink for capturing notes and drawing. In addition, new traditional clamshell models have been refreshed with up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro processors and facilitate collaboration by leveraging a 180-degree hinge design that allows the devices to lay flat for easier content sharing.
