Cyber security firm Sophos has today announced two new appointments to its senior management team.

Edie Givens will take the role of senior vice president of human resources and Wolfgang Hilpert as vice president of engineering of the Sophos Network Security Group (NSG).

“It’s gratifying to have such talented and experienced professionals join our company,” said Kris Hagerman, CEO, Sophos. “These are exciting times at Sophos, as we are outgrowing the market, we are attracting extraordinary talent, and we are continuing to build momentum.  I believe Edie and Wolfgang will be key contributors in driving our company mission to be the best in the world at delivering complete IT security to small and midmarket enterprises and the channel that serves them.”

Edie Givens was previously vice president of human resources for a number of groups within Yahoo, she also led human resources for Adobe’s business units, core technologies and emerging markets.

Wolfgang Hilpert joins Sophos after holding senior engineering leadership positions at SAP, Microsoft, Nemetschek AG and IBM.
