Bulwark Technologies, a specialised IT security value-added distributor (VAD), has said that it participated at the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) 2018, to promote a wide array of data security solutions in its current product portfolio in the Middle East.

At GISEC Bulwark exhibited solutions its current vendor portfolio including Lastline for anti APT and breach detection, managed secure file transfer from Help Systems, encrypted data storage devices from iStorage aimed at GDPR compliance, EDR and UTM solutions from Sophos, Enterprise SMS gateway, monitoring, alerting solution from SendQuick and, MDM and EMM solution from 42Gears Mobility Systems.

Jose Thomas Menacherry, managing director, Bulwark Technologies, said the company has been participating in GISEC since 2013. “This is the sixth consecutive

GISEC event we have participated in. The event provided a great platform for introducing latest security solutions from our vendors,” he said. “The show also provided them with a chance to meet security-focused and potential visitors having requirements for information security solutions.”

Menacherry added that: “Being the largest IT security focused mega-event, GISEC provides us the opportunity to showcase the latest security technology and solutions to customers in the region.”

He said customers get a chance to meet vendors, distributors, system integrators and see solutions hands-on. “It is the perfect platform to discuss concerns and create a proper roadmap to handle security threats currently affecting the region,” he said.

He explained that Bulwark is constantly refining its in-country sales and technical resources to provide timely and prompt support to customers and channel partners in the GCC countries.

“We also have successfully extended the partner enablement process to countries like Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt,” he said.

Menacherry the company has also introduced and recently signed up to distribute the unified endpoint management solutions from 42Gears Mobility Systems. “42 Gears is a known provider of MDM and EMM solutions and has a network of end user customers in the Middle East,” he said.

According to Menacherry, the region is forecasting a huge demand in the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, cloud security, anti-APT solutions for network and EDR solutions.

“Organisations are considering IT Security as a cost required for operations and are allocating budget for the same,” he said.

He said given the inter-connectedness of the digital world, information passes superfast with technology adoptions happening faster while hackers are adopting new methods quickly. “To keep in sync with such dynamic changes, organisations need to work with trusted and capable security providers adopting the right solution to take defensive measures and safeguard their IT assets and business,” he said.
