Commvault names AlJammaz Technologies as key distributor in Saudi Arabia

AlJammaz Technologies will now don the official hat of Commvault Value Added distributor in Saudi Arabia

Commvault, the savvy data protection player, has joined forces with AlJammaz Technologies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In line with the move, AlJammaz Technologies will now don the official hat of Commvault Value Added distributor in Saudi Arabia, propelling digital transformation, fortifying data protection, and ramping up cybersecurity for a diverse range of businesses.

Between mid-2021 and mid-2022, Saudi Arabia experienced a high number of ransomware attacks compared to other GCC countries. Businesses in Saudi Arabia are actively investing in digital transformation, with a particular focus on safeguarding cloud infrastructure. Commvault has redefined data protection by incorporating early warning technologies that proactively secure against threats, defend enterprise data during breaches, and ensure recoverability to withstand evolving cyber threats.

Commvault offers unique capabilities, including early warning, comprehensive threat monitoring, and cyber deception for production and backup environments. This enables rapid threat detection, with Commvault’s technology able to identify threats in as little as five minutes, significantly outperforming the industry average of 24 hours. By detecting zero-day and insider threats early on, Commvault helps safeguard data from breaches and cyber-attacks.

“We have a new arsenal of capabilities that gives businesses a clearer line of sight into vulnerabilities and will protect their data across active and backup environments, including on the cloud or on-premises, so they can meet sophisticated cyberthreats head on,” said Sameh Hassan, KSA Country Sales Manager, Commvault.

“By partnering with organizations like AlJammaz Technologies, we will be able to provide wider and deeper support to businesses across multiple sectors within KSA. We look forward to a long-term partnership to help protect organisations from increasing ransomware threats, whilst enabling businesses to accelerate their digitalization journey.”

Adel Qahwash, General Manager, AlJammaz Technologies, said, “We are proud to partner with Commvault, an industry-leading player in the data protection and cyber security space. Many businesses in KSA are in need of greater data management solutions and Commvault’s technologies will help create enhanced security, efficiency and business sustainability.”

Commvault’s regional channel manager Amr Elkessi emphasised how their technologies help accelerate innovation while protecting companies’ most precious assets—their data—from the stormy seas of cyber threats.

“Commvault is committed to working with channel partners in KSA to support the long-term strategy of the country and Saudi Vision 2030,” he said.

Commvault has extensive experience in the region, having worked with key organizations including MEEZA, Bein Sports, Al Jazeera, Emirates Steel, Dubai Police and Dubai Municipality in UAE.
