Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) under the RTA is gearing up for the upcoming academic year, with the introduction of advanced buses dedicated to serving approximately 25,000 students throughout Dubai. DTC’s school transport fleet adheres to the highest local and international quality and safety standards, ensuring the secure transportation of students to and from school.
Ammar Rashid Al Braiki, Director of Fleet Operation, DTC, emphasised that combining DTC’s wealth of experience and resources, along with substantial investments in advanced technologies, demonstrate their strategic commitment to bolster parental and community trust while providing a safe and secure transportation environment for students during the school year.
“Such a drive, is aligned with the highest safety and monitoring standards observed in Dubai, will also promote the confidence of the Emirates Schools Establishment towards building a long-term partnership in delivering school transport services,” he added.
DTC’s school buses come equipped with an array of intelligent features, including surveillance cameras, a system to ensure no student is inadvertently left behind after each journey, a mechanism for monitoring student movement during transit, and an emergency alert system for immediate communication with the emergency management center. Additionally, the buses are equipped with an advanced GPS-based electronic tracking system and a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system, simplifying the boarding and disembarkation processes for students. Furthermore, an automatic fire-suppression system for the engines is in place to enhance safety.
Al Braiki also emphasised DTC’s commitment to promoting safe and responsible driving skills among school bus drivers and attendants through specialised high-level training courses. The organisation conducts drills on handling emergency situations and provides First Aid training to ensure that the team is well-prepared to address any unforeseen emergencies during the school transportation process.
