Education Excellence Awards: ITP Media Group to recognise outstanding educators

ITP Media Group’s Education Excellence Awards will honour and recognise teachers and support staff in schools registered with the KHDA

ITP Media Group has announced the launch of its first-ever Education Excellence Awards in Dubai.

The purpose of these awards is to honour and recognise teachers and support staff in schools registered with the KHDA. The awards are open to schools following any curriculum, from foundation stage to year 13 education.

The winners will be revealed on Thursday, October 5th, which is World Teacher’s Day. The announcement will take place during an extravagant gala dinner held at the Grosvenor House in Dubai, which will be attended by more than 200 educators in the city.

The Education Excellence Awards focuses predominantly on the individuals working within schools in Dubai, be they teachers, principals or support staff and nominations can be submitted at https://edexcellenceawards.com/.

Categories cover teachers in core subjects as well as key teams within schools such as PE, Music & Arts and special education needs. In addition to the 17 categories open for nominations, there will be an outstanding contribution award, decided by the awards’ judges, that will be given to an individual who has made an enduring, significant contribution to education in Dubai.

An independent panel of expert judges will decide on the winners in each category, with the winning nominees announced on the night.

Confirmed judges include

  • Debra Forsyth, CEO of British Schools in the Middle East
  • Tarek Alami, Director – AMEA of Education Development Trust
  • Liesa Grace Wilson, Editorial Director of Teach Middle East & schoolfinder.ae
  • Nalini Cook, Head of Global Research of ISC Research.

Additional judges to complete the panel are expected to be announced soon.

Submitting nominations is free and schools have until Friday 23rd June to enter the awards through https://edexcellenceawards.com/. Shortlisted nominees will be announced when summer school terms starts in September, before the winners are crowned on Thursday, 5 October 2023.
