Elon Musk doesn’t want to be CEO of Twitter or Tesla

“I frankly don’t want to be the CEO of any company,” said Elon Musk.

Elon Musk has stated that he does not desire to lead any organization, including Tesla or Twitter. Musk made the remark on Wednesday while testifying in a US courtroom on his contentious payout package from Tesla.

“I frankly don’t want to be the CEO of any company,” he said. He said he does not wish to remain CEO of Twitter forever. “I expect to reduce my time at Twitter and find somebody else to run Twitter over time,” he added. James Murdoch, a former Tesla board member, claims that Elon Musk is even considering leaving his position as the company’s CEO.

Murdoch also testified in court that Musk has in the last few months identified someone as a potential successor to head Tesla. Murdoch was giving testimony in a case over Musk’s 2018 Tesla compensation package, but he did not identify the potential replacement.

Investors are questioning if billionaire Musk can effectively manage as many firms as he does and whether he is taking on too much. This week, Musk had to defend his $56 billion compensation package from Tesla shareholders in court, and he also had to stand trial for manslaughter in connection with a deadly accident in Los Angeles, all the while Twitter was in a state of anarchy.
