F5 names Bart Salaets as new CTO for EMEA

Bart Salaets will take on the brand-new role to further elevate F5’s positioning in the market

F5 has announced the appointment of Bart Salaets as the new Field Chief Technology Officer for in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The brand new a role that has been created to enhance the company’s market positioning by engaging with C-suite customers, partners, analysts, and journalists, according to F5.

With more than two decades of industry experience, Salaets will work alongside EMEA’s solution architect team, and in partnership with F5 Global CTO, Geng Lin, reporting directly to Vincent Lavergne, VP for Solutions Engineering at F5. Salaets has been with F5 since 2011 and previously served as Head of EMEA Solutions Architects and lead solutions architect for F5’s service provider team.

He has also held consulting and technical leadership roles at Alcatel-Lucent, Redback Networks, and Juniper Networks.

“This is an exciting new challenge for me and my Solution Architect team to embark on,” said Bart Salaets, Field Chief Technology Officer in EMEA at F5.

“Central to my new role will be to ensure our values are fully aligned with market and industry realities. It will involve a lot of listening and engagement, particularly as we look to support innovative digital transformation in new markets.”
