Fight between Musk and Zuckerberg to be live-streamed on X

Musk said that all the proceeds of the stream will go to charity for veterans

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, the tech moguls, have been challenging each other to a mixed martial arts cage match in Las Vegas since June. Musk announced on his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that the fight with Zuckerberg would be live-streamed on X, with all proceeds going to charity for veterans.

Zuckerberg responded on his social media app Threads, expressing his readiness for the fight and suggesting the date of August 26, which Musk hadn’t confirmed yet. He also proposed using a more “reliable platform” to raise money for charity.

Musk, on X, mentioned he was preparing for the fight by lifting weights throughout the day, even bringing weights to work due to time constraints. When asked about the point of the fight, Musk replied, “It’s a civilised form of war. Men love war.”

The banter started when Musk first posted on June 20, expressing his willingness to engage in a cage match with Zuckerberg, who is trained in jiujitsu. In response, Zuckerberg, known for sharing pictures of his own martial arts matches on Instagram, asked Musk to “send location,” to which Musk humorously suggested the “Vegas Octagon,” referring to the venue for MMA championship bouts.
