Gault&Millau & Dinner by Heston Blumenthal team up for exclusive wine dinner

The historic producer from Bordeaux has prepared a unique wine selection to pair with a special menu from the restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine, Tom Allen

Gault&Millau UAE and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, at Atlantis The Royal, are hosting an exclusive wine dinner in association with ChĂ¢teau Lynch-Bages.

The historic producer from Bordeaux has prepared a unique wine selection to pair with a special menu from the restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine, Tom Allen.

Available for one night only, on Wednesday December 13, there are two options available to guests; a six-course dinner with five rare wines for AED2,750 per person, or a five-course option (with four pairing wines) for AED1,750 per person.

It is the second volume of the Gault&Millau Masters Series, following from a four-hands dinner with chefs Jason Atherton and Nick Alvis in November.

Dishes on the menu include some Dinner by Heston Blumenthal favourites that have not been available in the Dubai restaurant before.

The menu includes, Salmon Tart, Plum Fruit, Lobster Kedgeree, Cod in Cider, Venison and Pickled Cherries and Bohemian Cake.

Recipes at the restaurant are inspired by dishes served in England from the 13th century to the mid-20th century, refined by Heston Blumenthal himself and recreated by his expert kitchen brigade.

The wines being paired with the meal have been chosen by the restaurant’s head sommelier Arturo Scamardella alongside Pierre-Louis Araud from ChĂ¢teau Lynch-Bages, who will be present on the evening to present the wines to diners.

The wines being served include Echo de Lynch Bages 2014, ChĂ¢teau Lynch-Bages Blanc 2015, ChĂ¢teau Lynch-Bages Blanc 2017, ChĂ¢teau Lynch-Bages 2010 and ChĂ¢teau Lynch-Bages 2005.

The dinner is a unique opportunity to pair these wines with a one-time menu from the restaurant, with insight from wine experts Araud and Scarmadella, and the kitchen team.

Prior booking is essential, as seats are extremely limited for the event.
