LEAP 2022: Schneider Electric to drive discussions on sustainability and digital transformation

Schneider Electric’s EVP of International Operations and Member of the Executive Committee, Luc Remont, will participate in a panel discussion on how to achieve a sustainable future for all

Schneider Electric is set to place the spotlight on the integral role that digital transformation and green technologies will play in achieving Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 during its participation in LEAP 2022.

During the event, Schneider Electric’s Executive Vice President of International Operations and Member of the Executive Committee, Luc Remont, will participate in an important panel discussion on how to achieve a sustainable future for all.

The panel will highlight the importance of sustainability, driven by innovation and technology to achieve a better and greener future for all. This agenda is aligned with the Saudi Green Initiative to tackle environmental challenges faced by not only the Kingdom, but the entire region as well.

Sustainability is at the heart of the Vision 2030 with the Saudi Green Initiative aiming to reverse environmental degradation and climate change through an extensive reforestation project and a shift to the use of renewable energy resources.

It also involves the planting of 10 billion trees in the country, restoring 40 million hectares of degraded land, generating 50% of electricity from renewables by 2030, and eliminating over 130 million tons of carbon emissions.

Remont added, “We are excited to be a part of the first-ever LEAP conference and connect with like-minded experts to put the spotlight on world-leading process and technologies – bridging progress and sustainability for all.”
