PwC Middle East to drive government digital transformation journeys in Saudi Arabia

PwC Middle East enters partnership with Digital Government Authority (DGA) to enhance innovation and embrace emerging technology in the public sector

At the recent LEAP23 technology event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, PwC Middle East showcased its expertise and reinforced its commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s digital economic growth and Vision 2030.

The firm also signed a number of key of strategic agreements with entities such as the Digital Government Authority (DGA), IPA and Flat6Labs across the four-day event.

As the “Digital Consulting Partner” for the second consecutive year, the company highlighted the latest emerging technologies, including virtual reality simulations in various sectors and the significance of AI, Metaverse, and Digital Twins in driving the digital economy.

During the event, PwC Middle East also discussed trends and advancements in clean technology, future energy, and sustainable development practices to tackle urbanisation challenges in the Kingdom through key panel discussions, workshops, and a showcasing of innovative solutions at their interactive booth.

“The Kingdom is taking major steps in driving digital transformation initiatives across key sectors. In line with Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is making groundbreaking advances in tech-adoption including big data, AI and advanced mobile technology,” said Riyadh Al Najjar, Chairman of the Board and KSA Country Leader.

He added: “Reinforcing our commitment to the Kingdom’s transformation agenda, we’re proud of our extensive partnership in the second edition of LEAP, launched to promote the growth of the technology sector, a key pillar of economic advancement. The Kingdom has taken important strides towards achieving its vision and we remain committed to its realisation.”

In line with the Kingdom’s focus on economic growth and digital transformation, PwC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Flat6Labs, a leading seed and early-stage venture capital firm in the MENA region.

The MoU aims to create corporate innovation programs and provide mentorship and opportunities through PwC’s Technology Consulting practice. Another MoU was signed with IPA to support government and private organisations in their digital transformation journey in Saudi Arabia.

At the LEAP event, PwC Middle East also released its “Buildings of the Future” paper, which highlights the key factors that drive investment in cognitive buildings, the use cases for these buildings, and the ways in which governments and private entities can provide customised, cutting-edge solutions for their customers through the use of technology in buildings.
