Saudi Arabia robotics industry sees influx in business registrations

Riyadh City emerged as the leading province in Saudi Arabia in terms of issuing commercial records for the robot technologies sector

The number of commercial records registered in Saudi provinces experienced a noteworthy surge of 52 percent by the conclusion of the second quarter of 2023.

According to the latest figures reported by the Saudi Press Agency, the total count reached 2,344 records, marking a substantial increase from the 1,537 records recorded in Q2 of 2022.

As stated in the recent business sector bulletin of the Ministry of Commerce, Riyadh City emerged as the leading Saudi province in terms of issuing commercial records for the robot technologies sector. In Q2 of 2023, Riyadh City issued 1,387 records.

Makkah province followed closely with 491 commercial records issued for the sector, while the Eastern Region issued 269 records during the same period. Additionally, Madinah and Qassim provinces issued 76 and 32 commercial records for the sector respectively.

Robotics is considered one of the promising sectors in the Kingdom, aligning with the goals outlined in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 for the business sector. Other promising sectors highlighted in the Vision 2030 initiative include cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), logistics services, arts and entertainment, travel, tourism, and conferences.

These sectors, among others, are experiencing remarkable growth, offering local and foreign businesses numerous opportunities for development and expansion through partnerships.
