Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, announced on Saturday via a tweet that the social media company is planning to develop a video app for smart TVs. This aligns with Twitter’s recent emphasis on expanding video content on its platform.
In response to a tweet suggesting the need for a Twitter video app, Musk confirmed that it is indeed in the works, stating, “It’s coming.”
During an investor presentation, Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, along with Musk, outlined the company’s strategy to prioritise video content, creator collaborations, and commerce partnerships. These initiatives aim to rejuvenate Twitter’s business beyond its reliance on digital advertising.
