The UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has announced transformation projects in line with the “We the UAE 2031” vision, which is a national action plan aimed at guiding the UAE’s development over the next 50 years.

These initiatives include the “Digital Vault” for the banking, insurance, and telecommunications sectors, the “Children’s Communication Services Programme,” and the “Digital Customer Journey Quality Measurement Programme,” which have significant impacts.

“TDRA transformation projects fall under the general context of the UAE’s directions and the vision of its wise leadership, and represent an interpretation of several pillars of ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, which enhances the UAE’s future readiness,” said Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, TDRA Director-General.

“We are pleased that the ICT sector is the sector that supports progress in all fields, especially the economic field, through the consolidation of the digital economy, which enhances the UAE’s leading position on the global map. In addition, our transformation projects for the current stage are related to economy, youth, and the various segments of customers, which constitute the main headlines for creating the desired future.”

The Digital Vault project aims to provide digital services in the UAE’s telecom, banking, insurance, and private sectors while ensuring ease, trust, and privacy. It uses a digital vault that enables the sharing of trustworthy data and documents with customer approval in compliance with UAE regulations.

The Children’s Communication Services Programme aims to launch safe and regulated telecom services and packages for minors in collaboration with licensees, encouraging their engagement with modern technology like smartwatches and wearable devices.

The Digital Customer Journey Quality Measurement Programme seeks to improve user experiences by utilising an AI-based data analysis platform to identify the root causes of service provision errors and slowdowns, ensuring seamless service availability. The project’s primary objective is to enhance customer satisfaction and offer better user experiences in government services consistent with the UAE’s national objectives.
