Domino's wants to replace humans with robots as apps cut into business

Domino’s reprotedly wants to use self-driving robots to deliver pizzas because humans are too expensive.

The company recently partnered with the start-up Nuro to deliver pizzas using Nuro’s autonomous vehicles.

Numerous media outlets have reported on the news, which also comes amid reports that third-party delivery apps are hurting business for Domino’s.

The news also follows a pizza delivery by drone that Domino’s did in New Zealand in 2016. Despite hype at the time, it has not led to mass use of drones to deliver pizzas in New Zealand.
