Yahsat showcases innovative climate tech solutions at COP28

Collaborating closely with various UAE government entities and international organisations, including the United Nations, Yahsat is actively committed to delivering advanced, affordable, resilient, and reliable solutions that tackle the issues surrounding global climate change. The company’s satellite capabilities play a crucial role in providing practical climate technology solutions aligned with COP28’s focal areas and objectives.

Yahsat’s presence at COP28

  1. Representation at the UAE Space Agency Pavilion: Yahsat will showcase its climate tech solutions, representing the UAE Space sector at the UAE Space Agency Pavilion.
  2. Tech & Innovation Hub Sessions: Organising two sessions on the ‘Nature, Land Use, and Oceans’ thematic day, including a panel discussion on the “Role of Technology to Support Ocean Biodiversity and Safety of Fishermen Communities.” Additionally, Yahsat will lead a knowledge-sharing session on “Empowering at-risk and Indigenous Communities through Capability Building and Technology for Climate Adaptation and Mitigation.”
  3. Blue Zone Panel Participation: Yahsat will take part in the Blue Zone panel discussing “Digital Connectivity and Technologies for Early Warnings for All Initiative,” with a focus on Direct-to-Device (D2D) technologies for early warning systems.
  4. Mubadala Pavilion Panel Discussion: Participating in a panel discussion named “Collapsing Time and Space: Technology and Climate Smart Disaster Response” at the Mubadala Pavilion. Yahsat will also showcase its technologically advanced satellite solutions, providing telemedicine and digital learning support for communities in remote locations.
