Abu Dhabi-based digital assets infrastructure company Zero Two, part of ADQ, has commenced its operations to meet the increasing demand for Web3 technology and its ecosystem.

Zero Two provides an all-in-one solution for digital assets infrastructure, with a goal of becoming a reliable partner for businesses looking to benefit from the extensive innovative scope and transformative potential of the technology.

The company’s services range from developing power infrastructure to sourcing and testing cutting-edge technologies, operating data centres, and offering digital assets management services.

Zero Two was founded to promote and invest in the best technologies that support and accelerate the digital asset and Web3 ecosystem in the region, which includes decentralisation and token-based economics.

The company is positioned to play a role in maintaining the stability of Abu Dhabi’s power grid while contributing to the UAE’s Net Zero objectives and the transition to a sustainable, decarbonised economy.

The company will use excess power from low-demand seasons to operate its advanced data centres located in Abu Dhabi, further supporting the resilience of the local power grid.

Ahmed Al Hameli, Chief Executive Officer at Zero Two, said, “Digital assets hold vast potential that is only beginning to be explored and leveraged. Zero Two enters the market with a robust and broad business model catering to rapidly emerging demand and a demonstrated commitment to meeting the highest standards of security and compliance.

“We are confident that our offering that utilises excess power from the local power grid, which is the first of its kind in the UAE and the wider region, will not only meet the needs of our clients but also exceed their expectations with regards to the various benefits that can be derived from deploying distributed ledger technologies.”

The name “Zero Two” is derived from the significance of the numerals 0 and 2 in Web3 technology.
