Calling all aspiring coders: Abu Dhabi opens applications for coding boot camp

This boot camp serves as the final step in selecting candidates for the tuition-free coding programme

Abu Dhabi’s coding school, known as 42 Abu Dhabi, has opened applications for its coding boot camp named ‘Piscine.’ This boot camp, scheduled for September 4th, serves as the final step in selecting candidates for the tuition-free coding programme.

The ‘Piscine’ is a 25-day immersive boot camp that rigorously evaluates candidates’ programming skills and their determination. Successful completion of this boot camp is required for admission to 42 Abu Dhabi’s program.

Interested applicants can visit the official website of 42 Abu Dhabi to participate in the pre-selection assessment, referred to as the ‘Game.’ This online evaluation assesses cognitive abilities through logic and memory tests. Additionally, candidates need to attend an in-person Check-in discovery session to learn about the ‘Piscine’ and the learning approach. Successful candidates from the ‘Piscine’ can then join the coding programme at 42 Abu Dhabi.

Students enrolling in 42 Abu Dhabi will benefit from partnerships with prominent organisations like Mubadala Investment Company, Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE), Department of Government Support, Microsoft, and BEACON RED. The school facilitates sponsorship opportunities and stipends for UAE nationals through these partnerships. In the past year, 42 Abu Dhabi provided 358 job and internship opportunities, including 109 sponsorships for UAE national students.

Upon completing the Common Core, four additional modules, and a six-month internship, students are eligible to receive a software development diploma recognised by the National Qualification Centre (NQC) in the UAE.

Marcos Muller Habig, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, emphasised their commitment to nurturing skilled coders who can contribute to the Emirate’s digital transformation. “At 42 Abu Dhabi, we are steadfast in our commitment to fostering a digitally aware and technology-driven talent pool of coders. In doing so, we empower our students to lead successful and rewarding careers in emerging digital fields,” he said.

42 Abu Dhabi has enrolled 475 students, including 137 UAE national students, since its inception. The school’s inclusive approach aims to create a future-ready workforce, focusing on individuals aged 18 and above who possess adaptability and collaboration skills.

Launched in 2020 as an ADEK initiative, 42 Abu Dhabi is an innovative coding school that contributes to the growth of Abu Dhabi through investments in business, innovation, and education.
