UAE Super App Careem has launched a new feature called One-Click Checkout, allowing its 50 million customers in the area to make purchases on third-party merchant apps and websites instantly.
By using the contact information, delivery locations, and payment details saved on their Careem app, customers can quickly checkout without any hassle.
This feature is currently available on 6thStreet.com, an online fashion retailer in the GCC. Careem plans to introduce One-Click Checkout for other merchants in the region soon.
Online retailers often struggle with converting website visitors into customers due to poorly-designed checkout experiences. Globally, around 70 percent of e-commerce carts are abandoned. One-click checkout products can increase sales conversions by up to 60 percent, as they make the checkout process easier for customers.
Careem’s One-Click Checkout is a safe and convenient product that uses pre-saved information and one-time authentication via OTP to streamline the checkout process for customers.

More than 50 million people are registered on the Careem app, which has 5 million cards on file, and 20 million mapped locations saved.
