Elon Musk declares war on Apple over ChatGPT integration

Elon Musk has reignited his feud with OpenAI, this time targeting Apple’s integration of ChatGPT and highlighting potential risks to user data and security.

While there is buzzing excitement about Apple’s announcements at the Worldwide Developers’ Conference, one tech leader isn’t so happy with them. Elon Musk, Tesla’s Chief, posted a series of comments on the social media platform X; he was particularly miffed by the tech giant’s integration of OpenAI’s chatGPT into its software.

He went on to state that he would ban Apple devices from all of his companies. Musk added that if the integration was done on an operating system level, it would be a ‘security violation.’ While Apple’s executives have gone in detail to explain how their AI features would ensure privacy and security, Musk hasn’t been impressed.

He added that Apple has no clue what will happen once the data is handed over to Open AI. Musk stated – ‘They’re selling you down the river’.

For a while now, Musk has had an ongoing feud with OpenAI, and he has even sued the company for allegedly abandoning its nonprofit mission. He went on to post a meme on X calling OpenAI ClosedAI. Currently, Musk is also building another startup, xAI, and his own AI chatbot, Grok.
