Elon Musk’s xAI model to now be available to a limited group

Musk expressed that xAI’s new model is the best one currently available

Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup, xAI, is set to unveil its first AI model to a limited group, as confirmed by the billionaire and CEO of Tesla. This announcement follows nearly a year after OpenAI’s ChatGPT captured the attention of businesses and users worldwide, leading to a significant increase in the adoption of generative AI technology.

Musk expressed that xAI’s new model is, in some crucial aspects, the best one currently available, emphasising its capabilities and potential.

Elon Musk, known for his criticisms of AI efforts by major tech companies and concerns about censorship, had previously indicated his intention to create a “maximum truth-seeking AI” that seeks to comprehend the nature of the universe, positioning it as a rival to Google’s Bard and Microsoft’s Bing AI.

The xAI team, established in July of this year, consists of experts from Google’s DeepMind, Microsoft’s Windows division, and other leading AI research firms.

While Musk-owned X, the social media company formerly known as Twitter, and xAI are distinct entities, they maintain close collaborative ties. Additionally, xAI collaborates with Tesla and other companies.
