Google’s GPT model Bard is now Gemini

Google, announced the rebranding of its ChatGPTp-style chatbot to Gemini

On Thursday, Google, announced the rebranding of its ChatGPTp-style chatbot to Gemini, the tech giant stated it will be launching Gemini Ultra 1.0, which it said will be the most powerful generative AI model yet.

Previously called Bard, the rebranding comes a year after Google had launched its chatbot in a bit to catchup to Microsoft’s partnership with Open AI to launch ChatGPT, which has expanded to generate images, texts in answers and is fast growing.

Gemini, will be available through an easy-to-see link on Google app on the iPhone, making it an integral part of the search experience. The Gemini Ultra 1.0 will be available as an advanced bot for $20 in over 150 countries in English.

The lesser models of Gemini Advanced and Gemini will be standalone apps on android phones, and will be integrated into the Google app on iPhone.

The apps are not yet available in Europe, as it is navigating the region’s regulatory challenges. A day earlier, Microsoft had announced that it has revamped its equivalent Copilot app, which is the rebranded name for Bing. Copilot intends to work as a standalone app. While Generative AI is still picking, both Microsoft and Google seem to be in a race for the same.
