Dubai’s healthcare professionals have a new and innovative way to upskill their careers with the launch of Healthvarsity, an online learning platform in the GCC region.
The platform, which uses cutting-edge AI and blockchain technology, is the brainchild of Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder and President of Healthvarsity and Thumbay Group, a Dubai-based international business conglomerate.
Healthvarsity currently offers over 200 courses and allows payment in cryptocurrency, making it accessible to everyone.
The platform’s goal is to expand the reach and accessibility of well-defined programs for doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, medical students, and other healthcare professionals. In the future, Healthvarsity plans to introduce features such as an AI-based Virtual Instructor, AI-based Virtual Mentor, and AI-based Virtual Assessor to improve the learning experience.
At the launch ceremony at the Palazzo Versace Hotel, Dubai, Dr. Moideen introduced the platform to 200 stakeholders and guests, including a panel of international experts who helped design Healthvarsity’s audio-visual courses and full curriculum.
Dr. Moideen emphasised that Healthvarsity embodies the highly engaged, focused, interactive, and unique learning that has been a hallmark of medical education programs for decades. He also added that the platform would provide a powerful channel for communicating ideas and engaging with new and wider audiences, nurturing a lifelong journey of enquiry and discovery and achieving better career outcomes using the latest technology.
Healthvarsity courses are available in English for users at different designations and levels of education and professional experience, from students to administrators, doctors, and other healthcare professions. After registration, users can select courses optimally meeting their professional requirements from several options, including diploma, advanced certificate courses, master classes, and self-study programs. On completion of each course, they receive a certificate on blockchain to maintain security and authenticity.
Healthvarsity offerings are differentiated by multiple course styles, including recorded webinars, guided tours, case studies, test preparation, demonstrations, and leaders’ insights.
