Hershey in metaverse

LandVault, the largest developer in the metaverse, worked with Hershey India and Philippines to construct their experience in Decentraland.

The build went live on the 5th of December 2022 and enables Hershey’s to promote an immersive, branded experience around the holidays. The activation takes place on a 2×2 plot of land in Decentraland and showcases two of Hershey’s key markets in Asia; Philippines and India. The experience will be a memorable one, built on the universal language of chocolate where users complete quests, learn about sweet holiday traditions, explore virtual shops, and even earn exclusive rewards by completing quests.

“As the way consumers interact with our brands continues to change, creating this experience is an opportunity to deepen our connection with Gen Z, and also bring the iconic Hershey’s experience directly into homes,” shared Alexia Wharton, Head of International Commercial Growth at The Hershey Company.

Hershey’s aim with the activation is to reach a global audience and give them a memorable moment to share around the holidays. This innovative experience gives people a new way to engage with the world famous chocolate brand.

Sam Huber, LandVault’s CEO shared how important this activation is: “Working with Hershey not only signifies another landmark moment for the metaverse, but also an important step for Hershey’s as a company. We were honored to assist them in bringing their metaverse experience to life and reach more people in more moments during the holidays.”
