KPMG becomes first service entity to join Saudi Arabia’s Digital Cooperation Organisation

KPMG will work alongside DCO experts on multinational projects designed to enhance the global digital economy in areas such as digital taxation, cross-border data flows, digital transformation and e-governance.

KPMG has become the first business entity to join Saudi Arabia-headquartered Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO), which aims to build a digital economy.

As per the news, KPMG will work alongside DCO experts on multinational projects designed to enhance the global digital economy in areas such as digital taxation, cross-border data flows, digital transformation and e-governance.

Global Lead Partner at KPMG Dr Samer Abdallah, said, “KPMG is aligned with the DCO’s mission to promote social prosperity through more inclusive participation to grow the digital economy. The DCO is quickly expanding its ecosystem of international collaborators to include leading private sector companies, academic institutions, think tanks, civil society organisations, international organisations and other partners across North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

DCO was established in 2020 with aim to bring together nations, business, civil society, academics, and R&D institutions to promote social prosperity through more inclusive participation and growth across the digital economy.

DCO has seven founding member nations Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. In July Cyprus was the latest country to join the DCO.
