Inflection AI, the brain child of Mustafa Suleyman and Karen Simonyan gets a new CEO Sean White. Reid Hoffman announced the product development and launches in a blog post.

After Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Inflection AI, and co-founder of Google’s DeepMind announced he and Inflection Co-founder Karen Simonyan have moved to Microsoft AI, Reid Hoffman, co-founder LinkedIn and Partner Greylock announced the next steps for Inflection AI.

In the company blog, Hoffman announced that they would now be democratising artificial intelligence (AI). He added they have released Inflection 2.5, a focus towards creating a ‘personal’ intelligence for everyone.

Inflection aims to revolutionise AI, harnessing the power of technology to develop personalised AI solutions. The culmination of their efforts resulted in Pi, the first personal AI, renowned for its exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ) combined with industry-leading intellectual quotient (IQ), catering to millions of users worldwide.

Hoffman also announced the new CEO of the company to be Sean White, a leader with extensive experience in technology, research, and business. In his post Suleyman had also added added Inflection AI will continue under a new CEO and will look to reach more people than ever by making its API widely available to developers and businesses all over the world.

“Our plan going forward is to lean into our AI studio business, where custom generative AI models are crafted, tested and fine-tuned for commercial customers. Our success at training, tailoring and improving the performance of large AI models makes us uniquely well placed to be the AI platform for businesses around the world,” stated Hoffman in the company blog.

Recognising the growing demand for AI technology in various sectors, Inflection has long aimed to make its technology accessible to developers and enterprises. Over the past year, feedback reiterated the unparalleled conversational style of Pi, underscoring the need for access to Inflection’s model and fine-tuning infrastructure, thus presenting a significant opportunity for the company.

Embracing this opportunity, Inflection has unveiled its strategic shift towards bolstering its AI studio business, where custom generative AI models are meticulously crafted, tested, and fine-tuned to meet the diverse needs of commercial customers. Leveraging its expertise in training and enhancing large AI models, Inflection aims to position itself as the go-to AI platform for businesses worldwide.

While the API for Inflection-2.5 is currently under development, eager enthusiasts can sign up for early access to aid in testing and refinement.

Reflecting on the journey thus far, Hoffman expressed pride in Inflection’s accomplishments, assuring users of uninterrupted access to Pi’s services. Upholding stringent privacy and data policies, Inflection remains dedicated to safeguarding user privacy, with no data shared with third parties without explicit consent.
