Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, launched “Building Responsible Artificial Intelligence Forum (BRAIN)” at World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024. UAE Minister of AI, Digital Economy, and Remote work applications

The UAE Minister of State of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, launched “Building Responsible Artificial Intelligence Forum (BRAIN)” at World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024. He stated over 97 million people are expected to work in the field of artificial intelligence, which highlights the importance of governments to recognise the potential of AI.

He said, understanding the capabilities of AI is important for bringing about fundamental changes and also adapt to the trends and make best use of the technology to develop a digital economy.

The minister said WGS 2024 plays an important role in addressing the challenges of the world and also instilling a sense of optimism that help towards their resolution. He added that the summit showcased the growth of Generative AI on a global scale. Al Olama said the market is expected to grow 33 per cent in 2024 and will touch $20 billion by 2025.

The concluding day of the World Governments Summit, the summit had over 120 interactive sessions, workshops, 200 speakers and over 140 global government delegations. WGS had the theme of “Shaping Future Goverments” and helped bring governments, leaders, and decision makers to collaborate.
